One Bad Ant is proud to have worked with the Discovery Trail (DT) to create a brand new web site that highlights eight educational organizations of Tompkins County, New York.
This new web site is aimed at kids, adults, family, educators, locals, and visitors. It really has something for everyone. If you are visiting the area and need help planning your visit, then check out the Discovery Trail’s Suggested Itineraries. We even built a dynamic, interactive map right on the home page that highlights the location of the eight organizations.
The Discovery Trail wanted their new site to appeal especially to kids and educators and to satisfy these audiences we added menus to take them directly to content, materials, and activities designed just for them.
We’ve integrated the Trail’s Facebook posts and event calendars into the new site providing up-to-date information about what’s happening and how to take advantage of all their activities. Best of all, this integration means the Discovery Trail staff can maintain their news and events in Facebook and in the Ithaca Events calendar and not have to add or update them a second time in another system.
We chose WordPress to develop the new site. Its template-driven design and robust administration system allows the DT staff to maintain the site themselves.
Come take a look at the resulting Discovery Trail site and don’t hesitate to get in touch with One Bad Ant if you’d like help with your web project!
